Lust For Life took two gold stars at the Great Taste Awards 2026, the most of any alcohol free beer. In The Telegraph Taste Test, Melissa Cole scored it five out of five and said “They’ve nailed it. Most people would not be able to tell it’s not a 4% pale ale.”

It is brewed at 0.5% from the start rather than having the alcohol taken out, which is why the body and the hop character survive into the glass.

Because describing it does not work. Every alcohol free beer says the same things on the label, and the only thing that settles it is opening one. Once people try it, 73% buy it again, so the tasting does the selling.

Members want a beer with the people they played with, and most of them are driving home. BRULO is under 0.5%, so it works before they tee off, at the turn and at the 19th, and it tastes like a proper beer, so the second one goes down as quickly as the first.

1. The offer. BRULO (trading name of Coast Beer Co Limited, company number SC617414, registered at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh EH2 4AN) is offering a complimentary BRULO Luxury Gift Set (four 330ml cans of alcohol free beer, 0.5% ABV, a luxury glass made with real gold and a pair of cotton socks), including free delivery, to eligible golf clubs during the campaign period. Contents may vary with stock.
2. Eligibility. Strictly limited to golf clubs affiliated to Scottish Golf. Claimants must be aged 18 or over and claiming on behalf of the club as a manager, secretary, captain, committee member, or bar or catering lead, with a valid email address and the club's delivery address. Not open to individual members claiming for personal use, or to employees of BRULO, their affiliates, or members of their immediate households. One claim per club.
3. Campaign period. The offer opens on the date of the Scottish Golf email and runs until BRULO elects to close it, or stock is exhausted, whichever occurs first. BRULO reserves the right to close the offer at any time without prior notice.
4. Claim process. Complete the verification form (email, club name, your role, a phone number and the club's postcode) and accept these terms. The gift set is then added to cart at no cost, including delivery.
5. Verification. BRULO reserves the right to review claims prior to dispatch and to check them against the list of Scottish Golf affiliated clubs. Claims containing incomplete, inaccurate, fabricated or ineligible details may be cancelled at BRULO's sole discretion without notice.
6. Intended use. Provided for tasting by club staff and committee to assess the range for the clubhouse. Resale via online or third-party marketplaces is prohibited.
7. Delivery. Club addresses in Scotland only. Claims verified before 2pm on a working day are dispatched the same day. Claimants must be available to accept delivery; redelivery charges following failed attempts are not covered by BRULO.
8. Limit. One gift set per club. Duplicate or suspected fraudulent claims will be removed at BRULO's sole discretion.
9. No cash alternative. Non-transferable and not exchangeable for other BRULO products.
10. Data. Personal data collected via this page is processed in accordance with BRULO's privacy policy, to verify eligibility, fulfil the offer, and contact you about relevant trade opportunities.
